A for Avant-garde

Avant-garde: My hubby was labeled as avant-garde when he was at college (more than 20 years ago) because he appreciates the diversity of life. He supports gay and lesbian, and doesn’t believe the so called ‘traditional family’. He said “this is just man-made tradition”. There are different kinds of relations on earth, and we respect other people’s choice. He has once created a drama on gay relationship but was banned by the professor back in 1980s. The ‘fake morality’ changed over time as he always mentions, and most people are more open-minded now as we can see. The movie “Brokeback Mountain” won three Oscars in 2005, and praised by lots of people around the world. It’s unfortunately my hubby did not choose to study Movie but English at college. We were all bounded by the term ‘traditional family’ in some ways – limit our love to our own family members and set a boundary for outside people. Maybe it’s time for us to rethink about this, and expand our love to every creature on this planet. “Love is a force of nature” (the tag line of the movie poster), and  there is no limit or boundary.
