C for Choice

Choice: It doesn’t matter here whether you are a supporter of Pro-Choice or Pro-Life. We do not have a choice when we arrive on Earth – we all cried when we switched from our mother’s body to this world. However, we do have a choice to enjoy our life, and to use this complimentary ticket to the Earth wisely as my hubby suggests. Every day is a bonus, and NOW is more important than future. No one knows what will happen the next minute, but it is important that we are currently content with our life. We choose to be a good person even though we know there is no God in this planet – this is the worth of humanism.

B for Bourgeoisie

Bourgeoisie: Bourgeoisie Hong is another nick name of my hubby. His first name is ‘Hong’, in Chinese means Health as his parents wish. He is from a middle-class family as most people think they are from. He is a communist or a supporter of communism, and asked not to be judged by his outfit. He always buys things in good brands, and quality deserves a higher price as he explained. If you ask him to choose between communism and capitalism, his answer will definitely be the first one. Capitalism is an evil as he said. There is no difference of a prostitute and a doctor in a capitalized society – no money means no service. Most of us believe that we are well-off and better than the other half. In fact, we are all disadvantaged if compared to the richest in the world. We certainly do not want to be labeled as the poor or the low-income working class, and tried to stay away from this group or speak up for them (or in fact, for ourselves) at some points. We spent most of our life time to climb up the social ladder, and forgot to enjoy our daily life and appreciate people around us.

A for Avant-garde

Avant-garde: My hubby was labeled as avant-garde when he was at college (more than 20 years ago) because he appreciates the diversity of life. He supports gay and lesbian, and doesn’t believe the so called ‘traditional family’. He said “this is just man-made tradition”. There are different kinds of relations on earth, and we respect other people’s choice. He has once created a drama on gay relationship but was banned by the professor back in 1980s. The ‘fake morality’ changed over time as he always mentions, and most people are more open-minded now as we can see. The movie “Brokeback Mountain” won three Oscars in 2005, and praised by lots of people around the world. It’s unfortunately my hubby did not choose to study Movie but English at college. We were all bounded by the term ‘traditional family’ in some ways – limit our love to our own family members and set a boundary for outside people. Maybe it’s time for us to rethink about this, and expand our love to every creature on this planet. “Love is a force of nature” (the tag line of the movie poster), and there is no limit or boundary.

Who is Cindy5?

My last name in Chinese means five or a team, and Cindy 5 is my pen name. My sign is Gemini, and I enjoy gossiping at some occasions (as listener most of the time). We can always learn something interesting when gossiping, right? Don’t get me wrong, I respect other people’s privacy, and I don’t want to hurt anybody because of the gossip. I don’t think people should take it seriously when they are gossiping (you know just leisure talk). In fact, only people involved know the truth, and we usually get different perspectives of the ‘TRUTH’ by different person. We will add on our own perception spontaneously when we describe the ‘FACTS’. There is a Japanese film called ‘Rashomon’ by Akira Kurosawa in 1950. There are multiple truths through the eyes of four witnesses during a rape and murder episode in a forest – each revealing a little more detail, and through their own point of view. It is for the viewer to determine what the truth is.

About “GG”

One of my current day dreams is to become the ‘Queen of Blog’, and have millions of viewers each day! I have to find a good domain name to start with, and related to my character. My childhood’s nick name is ‘Nosy Mei’ (Mei is my first name) because I like to read all entertainment and celebrity gossip magazines. My sign is Gemini, and I think most people like me that enjoy gossiping. According to Wikipedia, gossip is ‘(still) the most common means of spreading and sharing facts and views’. Gemini Gossip is then picked. However, I would like to share with you not just about gossips, but also my thoughts, beliefs and all of the interesting stories (real and fictional).

Hello world!

I have recently watched the TV series Gossip Girl (2007), and one of the tag lines is ‘you’re nobody until you’re talked about’. It is about gossiping among the privileged high school teens in New York City (Manhattan’s Upper East Side). Rumor has it: Actress (Blake Lively) and Actor (Penn Badgley) have just started dating in real life. ‘Penn confirmed that he’s dating his Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively’ by the New York Daily News reports.
